The owner removed the machine from production because a larger capacity unit was purchased. Two units were not required for production. This machine was being used in the days prior to take out and shipment to my warehouse. The unit always ran for my customer with no maintenance problems. We reached out to OEM and confirmed that this unit was manufactured in 2000, and this model is still manufactured and supported. This model crushes 55-gallon steel drums or compacts what is contained within a drum. A platen attaches to the bottom of the ram for crushing drums. The machine has 38,000 lbs. of crushing power. The cycle time for crushing a drum is approximately 25 seconds. Contents within the drum are compacted by removing the platen. This particular unit was used for crushing glass as that was a by-product of my customer's process.
